How to Wear Compression Garments
WHAT TO EXPECT
Each person experiences compression differently, but your compression wear should always feel comfortable. When properly fitted, compression garments provide a gentle, supportive sensation, much like a soft hug. For added comfort, the seams are sewn on the outside.
CoreX Shapewear garments are certified as Class 1 medical devices. Getting the right size is crucial for their effectiveness. Be sure to measure yourself and refer to our size chart to find the correct size for these medical compression garments.
Keep in mind that your usual shirt or pant size won't correspond to the size of a Marena garment. Accurate self-measurement and using our size chart are essential for determining your CoreX size.
If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call. Additionally, consult with your medical provider to choose the appropriate style and size for your recovery garment.
Put on the garment by stepping into it one leg at a time. Carefully pull it up to your body, making sure to align the crotch opening correctly. Fasten the hooks one at a time and/or zip the zipper until the garment is fully in place, if applicable. Finally, adjust and secure the shoulder straps.
FOR BRAS OR VEST
Slide each arm into the arm holes or sleeves. Close the hook and eyes and/or zipper in front, use the middle row or the most comfortable setting to start. You can adjust to find the most comfortable position. After adjusting the front close, adjust the shoulder straps to be even and the most comfortable position.
FOR FACE MASKS
Place chin in the chin cup (located with the vertical seam). Close the hook-and-loop closure over the head about 2" behind the forehead. Close the hook-and-loop closure behind the neck.
FOR ARM OR CALF SLEEVES
Open the garment at the widest part and pull open to slide in your foot or hand. Gently pull up the arm or calf and ensure sleeve is smooth and evenly stretched on the limb. Contact us for more information about our compression wear today!
